Birthday package

Today I have received the SBBC birthday package. Oh my Gosh, Elanor spoiled me so much! I love everything she sent to me.... just see yourself...


By some happy coincidence was Elanor also my birthday partner, so here are the goodies I sent to her. I will use the picture she has on her blog, as I forgot to make a picture before sending them away.

Precious baby

Hallo all, let me introduce my daughter Anna, she came to this world on 11 June at 8:30 PM, weighed 3250 g and was 46 cm long. I think she looks like her grandmother (my mother) but who knows :-))) Anyway, she is the most beautiful baby on the whole world.

I have got a few messages, how I am and so on and it seems that you, who are reading my blog, feel a little bit afraid. Please don't, I am all right and so is my little baby-girl inside me :-) Its just I try to prepare everything for her and as I am more and more round it takes me a lot more time and power, so I just do omit a little bit my blog, sorry for that.
The summer seems to be already here as the temperatures are rather high and there have been only few raindrops recently.
My grandmother celebrated her 81-st birthday and I am still late with the gift for her. I am crocheting an afghan for her but I have to go and buy two more balls of floss to finish it. I know she wouldn't be angry with me beeing late, she is just the sweetest and loveliest grandmother in the whole world.

New visitor

We had a new visitor to our garden, it was Picus viridis or the Green Woodpecker:

By the way we took part on the puppet theater show in Třebíč and we were nominated to a next show in Chrudim, whoopee! For the first time in our fifteen-years history!

Baking and stitching

I have just pulled out my baking attempts from the oven. I guess it went well, what do you mean? The sweet wholemeal buns are filled with poppy-seed filling and some with jam, but this is not so good idea, as it run out from them. But I just did not have enough of the filling. I was baking last weekend some cakes with the poppy-seed filling and this was what remained. It was enough but still there were some four or five buns left without the filling so I used fig jam. Though it is better to use some more "stiff" filling.


And so appetizing it looks with some sugar on top:


As the title of this post says, I also stitched a little bit. See below the almost finished Victorian Pansies, only the backstitching has to be done. But, well, it is actually meant to be a needle case, so I will have to stitch one pansy at back of the case and finish-finish it. I will show you as soon as I will have it done.

Tuesday's theatre

Oh yes, I did no stitching yesterday, as tuesdays are my puppet theatre days. We will have a second (or fifth, or such;-)) of our play "Punch is the detective". Right now I realised, that we have no pictures from this performance. Well as I gave up my part to my colleague, because it is more and more difficult to do all the things with the growing belly. I will take the camera on 22 March and shoot some pictures. The story is nice, we play it with old marionettes (they are about seventy years old). Two robbers steal the Princess and the Punch will act as a detective to find her and bring her back to her daddy the King. I will show you the pictures after the 22-nd.
